This painting is fresh off the easel and is part of  a series of figurative landscapes that I'm working on.

The goal with all my paintings is to create a mood with a strong focal point. Many landscapes can stand alone without a figure

but sometimes it's just what is needed to give the scene scale and a little narrative. The general drawing for a landscape does not have to be as accurate as it does for a figure. If something is off in the figure it kills the whole painting, so there is the challenge.

Yesterday was a wipe out, so maybe today I will produce something worthwhile.
